We are excited to present some affordable sidehandle pots for bowl tea that are inspired by the work of our very own Global Tea Hut member, Petr Novak. These are mould-made pieces inspired by Petr’s designs. They are affordable as a result. They are made of the same clay as our kettles and braziers. The clay produces smooth and nice tea. The handle and button are both very comfortable to use. They can also be put on our braziers, either alcohol or charcoal, and therefore used to boil spent leaves after a session.
The volume of these larger sidehandles is roughly 900ml. This size is suitable for serving tea for 5-8 people.
The larger sidehandles are nice for boiling tea (fresh or spent leaves). You can pour from the large pots without holding on to the lid, which would get hot in boiling tea and it won’t fall off unless the lid is literally upside-down. This is very convenient for boiled tea, especially for boiling the spent leaves of an extra-special session and getting that extra mile out of your tea.
