The Old Way
This wonderful traditionally processed oolong is from an organic farm near the peak of Li Shan, one of Taiwan’s highest mountains. It is made from the mature pluck of spring leaves, which are bold and bright. This tea was hand-picked, though machine-processed. It was charcoal roasted and then aged for one year to allow the roast to mellow. It is a perfect candidate for aging or drinking.
The Old Way of making tea with higher oxidation and roast for drinking or aging suits gongfu brewing, which the package says. We are proud to share this tea with our community as well, offering more Taiwan teas to our fundraiser. All of these Taiwanese oolongs we are offering were partially or completely donated by our dear friend, who wants to support our current and future Center.
