The Root is a shou puerh from Bulang. It is hard to find clean shou puerh these days, but this is from a certified clean farm. We also had it piled skillfully without over-fermenting the tea, which is so common for shou tea these days. This tea is rich and creamy and a beautiful, grounded, everyday tea for drinking through the cold season. It is warming and bright, with hints of camphor and a centering flavor. This will be a staple for the community this year.
