Snow Dragon

In 2016, Taiwan had one of the coldest winters everywhere. It snowed in Miaoli and even in Yingge. Social media was a-buzz with people who had never seen snow in their life holding snowballs. The snow in Miaoli was very, very light and last only minutes. Taiwan is a sub-tropical country, after all. But it snowed a lot up in the mountains. The peaks usually have some snow, but this was different. And, of course, the tea was transformed. As tea lovers, we love to taste the weather in our tea.

This wonderful traditionally processed oolong is from an organic farm near the peak of Li Shan, one of Taiwan’s highest mountains. It is made from the winter 2016 harvest. This tea was hand-picked, though machine-processed. It was charcoal roasted and then aged. It is a perfect candidate for aging or drinking.

All of these Taiwanese oolongs we are offering were partially or completely donated by our dear friend, who wants to support our current and future Center. They are packaged by hand in the old way, with paper wrapping.
