Energy

Energy is a classic Dian Hong that we have made a few times over the years. It is one of our all-time favorite Dian Hong teas. It comes from wild old-growth teas in Yiwu. We asked the farmer to use ever-so-slightly mature leaves and to not fully oxidize them, which leaves a bit of the sheng energy in this tea. The combination of a bit more mature leaves and less oxidation results in a softer, gentler tea liquor. If you like your Dian Hong strong, either choose a more tippy tea like Ataraxia or use more leaves than you are used to. This tea is floral and rich, with sweet notes in the aftertaste. It has a very strong and glorious Qi that is more powerful than a lot of teas we have tried (hence the name).
