Mahogany is a classic tippy shou brick from the Menghai region, produced by friends in 2004, using what we know to be clean raw material. The brick is tightly compressed due to the smaller leaves and machine pressing. It was dry stored and has a wonderful woody, aged and mellow flavor, tasting like an old wooden chest at the foot of the stairs and filled with magic. This is a great tea for steeping, boiling or blending. It can be enjoyed now or aged more.
