Urban Sage

Urban Sage is a 2006 shou cake made for the Taipei tea expo. We happen to know the people chosen to create the 2006 sheng and shou cakes for the expo. The raw materials were from old-growth trees in the Menghai region and of very nice quality. Both the sheng and shou cakes are great. Urban Sage is rich and dark with lots of woody notes and hints of herbal medicine. It is complex and deep, with room to continue changing as it ages. It is great steeped or boiled, and can also be used as part of a great blend. This is great tea for drinking or aging.
