The Classics

The Classics is an excellent deal of a tea. It is the broken bits of late 1980s 7542 cakes. (It could be a bit later, as there is no way to verify the age, but it is old.) Often times, when many boxes of puerh tea were stored the bottom cakes would get smashed. Back in the day, when puerh wasn’t worth so much, this tea was swept up and sold by the kilo in large jars. A friend of ours bought some way back when and offered us this tea at a great price. It is a marvelous tea, with just a bit of wet storage. It is dark and rich with that classic Menghai flavor.
