The Depths

For the last three years we have been working with friends and tea makers to create the best affordable, daily-drinker of a shou cake we could. We are very proud of this blend. It is composed of three teas from Feng Qing. Around 25% of the blend is old-growth, with more than half of that being mature, late season leaves (sometimes called “huang pian), which helps keep the cost down while including some old-growth flavor and energy. The remainder of the blend is from younger, organic trees nearby. The overall blend was then honed by some friends with better palates than ours to create balance between the flavors and aromas of these teas. The Depths is a great cake for daily drinking, sharing, blending with other teas or even aging. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
