Kaki Trivet
$108.00
A simple round trivet thrown by Aiyi Lin, glazed in a warm russet brown that deepens and gathers where it runs to the rim. It is wonderful as a trivet underneath a charcoal brazier though it could also be used as a teapot pillow.
Kaki (柿) is the Japanese word for persimmon, and the traditional name for this family of iron glazes, which fire to the same warm russet as the ripening fruit.
It is approximately 16cm in diameter. As each is handmade, the size and the glaze vary a little from piece to piece.
