Red Dragon

Red Dragon is a very unique tea that straddles the boundary between two genres. It is from one of the southernmost tea farms in Taiwan, in Tai Dong. It has been organic since its inception and is amongst the cleanest, most natural farms we know. This special tea is technically an oolong, but one with oxidation that is pushed so far it is close to red tea. It is sweet, bright and has an upward moving Qi that is very expansive. This tea is very responsive to brewing, and proper gongfu will therefore unlock fragrances and flavors that bowl tea cannot. Getting the amount, temperature, water and fire all dialed in will result in a glowing cup that is golden and radiant, moving up and out from every sip. For that reason, we love practicing with this tea. It can also be enjoyed leaves in a bowl.
