The Old King

SOLD OUT

The Old King is supposedly from the 1950s, but these loose-leaf puerh teas are impossible to verify. Their vintages are just tales told by tea shops and they are often blends that are added to over time, meaning that they may have more than one type of tea mixed in. This name and calligraphy on the tin are from our friends who have this tea. They have owned it for twenty years; before that it probably traces back to Hong Kong (or some part of it if it is a blend). The Old King is one of the best aged loose-leaf puerh teas we have tried, especially in terms of Qi. It does have some storage, like all loose-leaf teas, but it isn’t overly wet. It is bold and strong, with deep and rich flavors and aromas and a Qi that lasts all day.
Each tin is 25 grams.
