Ruo Shen Cups

This amazing book is filled with Qing Dynasty Rou Shen cups (“like the deep/profound”), which are one of the Four Treasures of Gongfu tea, along with the brazier, sidehandle kettle (sha diao) and the Yixing pot. (Some traditions put the kettle/brazier together into one “treasure” and add the “tea boat,” or “cha chuan.”) It has more than 600 pages of photographs showing much of the history of the oldest gongfu tea cups. We will also include our issue of Global Tea Hut devoted to Rou Shen cups along with this book so that you can read more about the history and heritage of these wonderful pieces.
