These amazing little bricks are wild white tea from 100- to 200-year-old trees in Quanzhou, Fujian, near Anxi. These old wild trees are deep in the forest and come from similar gardens as those we visited on our 2018 Annual Global Tea Hut Trip to Anxi. These old wild trees are offshoots of Shuixian varietal brought to the area long ago. One of our Expansion packs was a wild, old-growth Tieguanyin made from such trees. We always wondered what it would be like to leave this wild tea unprocessed, with just withering and sun-drying. The results are stunning. This tea is not only phenomenally delicious, it is brimming with forest Qi and wild roots. It is one of our all-time favorite teas. And there is no wrong way to steep it: you brew it leaves in a bowl, sidehandle, gongfu or you can boil it for a rare and special session. You can even make kitchen tea with it, steeping less leaves in a large pot. It won’t oversteep. This is a magnificent tea!

These bricks are also excellent for aging!!
The weights vary for these bricks due to the nature of the leaves and resistance to compression, which was done by hand.
