Forest Floor Chabu
$115.00
These chabu are made from Ukrainian cloth handspun and handwoven between the 1920s and 1940s, then hand-dyed with plants, tea, and iron. The slow dyeing process allows the pigments to gradually penetrate century-old fibres, producing rich, earthy tones that deepen and evolve with time.
Each piece is one of a kind. The side that rested directly against the dye takes on a stronger, more vibrant colour, while the reverse is softer and more subdued.
The size of these chabu is approximately 71cm in length and 31cm in width. It is a wonderful size for gongfu tea or smaller bowl tea sessions.
