Stone Ladle Sidehandle

Stone Ladle was made with the same intention as all our bowl-tea sidehandles: a pot that pours beautifully and stays affordable, so more people can bring one into their daily practice. We built it from scratch, testing the arc of the pour, the angle of the handle and even the shape of the button beneath the index finger until it sat right in the hand and poured clean.

It is made from a rare grayish-green clay flecked with red spots, found on the east coast of Taiwan. After firing, the clay feels much like stone, smooth and cool as marble, and it has a lovely effect on tea.

This sidehandle is not suitable for boiling tea. If you would like to boil tea in a sidehandle, our larger sidehandle works wonderfully. It holds approximately 400ml, a size suited to serving three to five people.
