Alina Olegovna Zakharova handweaves her chabu from bamboo, cotton and wool, some with silver or gold thread worked into the design. Each takes up to thirty hours between the weaving and the embroidery, and she is always searching out new materials and ideas for the next one.

Snowfall measures approximately 108 by 33 cm, well suited to bowl tea sessions.

It comes with its own cover, which protects the finer bamboo sticks woven through it during storage and transport.

Alina has spent most of her life in Russia, though her roots are in the vibrant and beautiful city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A life of Cha Dao has offered her the gentle space to connect with herself and the world around her more deeply. It is this experience that has fostered a broader conversation with her environment, which has inspired her journey with creating handwoven chabu. She is always exploring new ways of creating chabu that are unique expressions of the world around her.
