Indigo Chabu

These beautiful indigo-dyed

chabu are crafted in collaboration with Taiwanese designer Jieyu Jiang, who is dedicated to creating natural, hand-dyed pieces that bring harmony to everyday life. Jieyu’s work is deeply rooted in nature; she transforms natural elements into her creations and passes on traditional dyeing techniques to future generations. She enjoys experimenting with roots, stems, leaves, and even agricultural waste, discovering unexpected colors that breathe new life into her work. 

There is a wonderful selection of different styles to choose from:

Gradient Designs

These are made from hand-woven cotton and come in several styles inspired by elements of nature with the colors flowing gently from light to dark, reminiscent of the sky or bodies of water. These 

chabu are 45cm by 150cm and a wonderful size for bowl tea.

Solid Designs

These are made from linen and dyed in two styles of light blue or dark blue. The dimensions of the

chabu are 30cm by 100cm and are perfect for gongfu tea sessions or a solo tea practice.
