Jade Bamboo

Jade Bamboo is a wonderful cake of sheng puerh from 2018. It comes from Baoshan. It is called “Jade Bamboo” owing to the fact that it is made of maocha from two Baoshan villages, the “Black Jade Village,” Yumozhai, and the “Bamboo Forest Village,” Dazhulin, which are both in Changning. The leaves were gathered from old-growth trees, including some of the trees shown throughout the Autumn 2023 issue of Global Tea Hut. Jade Bamboo is thick and rich, with a deep and strong liquor. It coats the mouth and throat and lingers for a long time after swallowing. The energy is uplifting for a young sheng puerh. The Qi is Yin and gentle owing to the old trees.
