1990s Big Green Mark
This is a well-stored puerh from the mid-90s. This tea was stored by a friend of ours in Taiwan on the second floor. It was stored rather clean and the storage flavors, therefore, leave in the first cup or two. If you plan on drinking the tea, you should break it all up and put it in a nice jar, which will let air into the center and also release any storage aromas.
We find it to be rather clean, with some nice Qi and some strength left as well, which means it is a good candidate for drinking or storing. The liquor is smooth, with an ever so slight astringency, hinting at the fact that it can go further, but it is also bright and dark, being twenty to twenty-five years old. This is a very affordable cake for what it is and worth giving a try.
This tea has a bit more storage flavors than the artistic font cake. It is a bit stronger and less aged as well. That tea maybe a few years older. This one has more room to grow, with bolder and less smooth liquor.
This tea also has more mature, larger leaves from older trees.
Aged cakes erode so weight is often give or take 20 grams.
