Cast Iron Lantern Brazier

The lantern brazier was designed by Master Deng Ding Sou, shaped after a Japanese iron lantern. Our original is ceramic, made to resemble metal. This one is the same form and the same size, cast in iron and finished in enamel.

A glass alcohol burner sits inside, the same as in the ceramic version, and the two-piece design, which was Master Deng's intention from the start, lets the top lift away so the burner can be refilled or adjusted once the kettle is set aside. The shape funnels the heat, providing a very strong and even flame. Where the ceramic was made to resemble iron, this one carries the true weight and warmth of it, three kilograms of cast iron, and the enamel finish will protect it through a lifetime of tea sessions.

These braziers fit our Cloud kettles and the other kettles we have offered previously, including our smaller Deng Ding Sou gongfu kettle. The original ceramic lantern brazier remains available as well.
