Gift Card
Choosing tea for someone else is a delicate thing. The tea that becomes a person's own is usually the one they arrived at slowly, on a morning that happened to call for it, for reasons they could not have given in advance. Half the pleasure is in the arriving.
A gift card gives them that. They might spend it on a single sample of aged puerh, or hold it toward a wood-fired bowl they have been circling for months. The choosing stays theirs, and they can take as long as they like over it.
You can write a line to go with it, and set it to arrive today or on a morning still weeks away.
Whatever they settle on comes from the same place everything here does: tea we have sat with ourselves, and bowls and kettles made by people we know by name.
