Infrared Burner

When it comes to electric heat sources, our experience shows that infrared burners are as close to charcoal as we have found. In fact, some the heat in charcoal is infrared. This technology is also convenient and fast. It comes with a wired remote to control temperature and set a timer. Infrared burners can be cheap or expensive, depending on the wattage and the style. Many have a kill switch that reduces or even shuts down when the unit overheats. This burner has a fan, which was designed by and for Chajin, so that this burner can continue as a heat source for many hours. Though the noise from the fan is a nuisance, we have found that the benefit of the ability to use this as a heat source, both to boil water and to maintain temperatures, is worth the sacrifice. Furthermore, the high wattage of these units means that they can boil water more quickly. These braziers are handmade in Taiwan. The ceramics are fired and then the electronics are installed separately. We have used several of these for years and often recommend them to others.
