Vintage Forest Floor Chabu

This chabu is made from Ukrainian cloth, handspun and handwoven between the 1920s and 1940s, then hand-dyed with plants, tea and iron. The slow dyeing lets the pigments work gradually into century-old fibers, producing rich, earthy tones that deepen with time.

Each piece is one of a kind. The side that rested against the dye takes on a stronger, more vibrant color, while the reverse is softer and more subdued.

Vintage Forest Floor measures approximately 71 by 31 cm, well suited to gongfu tea or smaller bowl tea sessions.
