This chawan was made by Peter Kuo of Da Qian Studio. A pale blue-grey glaze runs down over the bare ochre clay, thinning to a haze in places and pooling thickly in others.

Winter Dawn is thick-walled and heavier in the hand than most chawan, holding its warmth through a long whisked bowl. It measures approximately 13 cm across and 11 cm tall. It suits winter especially, though it can be used any time of year.
