Pomelo Tea

Stuffing pomelos with tea is a Chinese herbal remedy that has been around for a very long time. It is challenging to find good quality pomelo “sour tea,” and even more difficult to find one that includes organic tea and fruit. We found a wonderful farmer here in Miaoli County that crafts such tea. These pomelos are then aged between ten and fifteen years. The older the better, so you can also continue the aging process. This tea is great when boiled with a bit of the pomelo skin. We also have this wonderful tea in bags, where the aged Taiwanese oolong and pomelo have been pre-chopped and can be steeped or boiled. This tea is said to treat sore throats and coughs. It is also a wonderful mug tea that is delicious.
