Boiled Tea
How we brew

Boiled Tea

Boiling tea is one of the oldest brewing methods, reaching back to the legendary first bowl and a heritage of simpler times when fire sat at the centre of human life. We honour the long tradition of boiling herbs to bring health and harmony to body, mind and spirit. This method belongs especially to the aged and fermented teas: shou puerh, liu bao and the dark teas of Hunan that only grow richer, rounder and more grounding the longer they simmer. Sustained heat penetrates these leaves in a way steeping cannot, drawing out their deeper minerality and grounding Qi.
