This loose-leaf sheng is supposedly from the Antique Era (pre-1949). However, the vintage of such teas are impossible to verify. Their ages are really just tales told by tea shops. They are often blends that are added to over time, meaning that they may have more than one type of tea mixed in. This tea is named after a famous brand from the Antique Era called Fu Yuan Chang. Whether or not it has tea from that factory is impossible to say, but doubtful. The collector who has had the tea a long time says it reminds him of that vintage. Whatever it really is, this honorary “Fu Yuan Chang” is one of the best aged loose-leaf puerh teas we have tried, especially in terms of Qi. It is bold and strong, with deep and rich flavors and aromas and a Qi that lasts all day. It has a rich aged flavor which suggest that at least some of the tea blended here is indeed very old.

Each tin is 35 grams.
