Muddy River is a CNNP shou cake from the late 1990s or early 2000s. It is a classic blend, with the same types of flavors of traditional Menghai shou cakes. This cake has some wet storage, so if you like drier cakes, you should try Buried Treasure. This cake is deep and rich, with an incredibly patient and deep classic shou flavor. All of the piling flavors have mellowed out, leaving a dark and dank, creamy liquor with deep and grounding Qi. This is a great shou tea for drinking with plenty of depth and thickness.
