Ando

Ando means “Peaceful Way.” It is a wonderful shou brick created by Master Lü Lizhen. Consonance was one of our favorite shou puerh teas ever and the only that Master Lü had ever created. When we told him how much we loved it, he offered to create a shou brick for us this year using a tea Yiwu Mountain. He has a special relationship to the region, working  with farmers there for decades. He blended various grades to make our tea Empty Basin and then used a higher grade, more tippy tea to make these smaller and finer bricks. If you liked Empty Basin, you will love Ando. This brick is tightly compressed, so you will need a puerh knife to open it up. A little goes a long way. The tea is thick, rich and creamy with a deep and long-lasting flavor. The piling flavors are mild and will smooth out over time if you age some of these cakes. The Qi is soft and grounding. It is great for boiling, blending with other teas and steeping as well.
